shelter article photo Overlooking one of the most challenging temporary sprint kart courses in North America, the brand new KIC Showcase and Hospitality Pavilion is positioned in a prime spot overlooking a number of the turns from Vendor Row.

This being the 14th year for the SKUSA organization’s Super National here in Las Vegas, has seen significant growth even in this downturn economy. With more than 485 registered competitors, this is the largest field ever to participate.

The KIC Pavilion structure is made up from a combination of the brand new Motorsports Garage Shelter and the company’s expended line of commercial grade portable Pop-Up canopies. According to Jim Gibbs of KIC member, “We are very glad to be supporting the new KIC marketing campaign in getting out and speaking to the industry one on one. Being able to showcase our brand new shelter which has been created specifically for the motorsports community, is the exact same platform we believe will best demonstrate our new products to potential dealers.”

Joining as sponsors are brand new KIC members, the world’s leading online virtual racing program and the brand new NOLA Motorsports Park. According to Sean Siff of, “We are very excited to continue to support the performance karting community as this is a real strong market of worldwide racers who can enjoy our technology and use it to remain sharp even during the off season.”

The significance of the sponsorship support from the brand new NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans is two fold as the facility’s General Manager Mitch Wright will now be our association’s new Director of Tracks. His experience within the performance karting and general motorsports industry dates back to 1966.

The display is made up of two parts; a public showcase area with the sponsor displays including a full custom shirt shop provided by another KIC member KartLife, and a VIP Viewing Patio that offers food and beverages to invited guests and prospective members.

A raffle offering more than $1500 in prizes ranging from a driving school gift certificate, pop-up canopies and memberships will be given away by the close of the event on Sunday, November 21st.

According to Ray Verhelst, KIC Association Director “We wanted to create an environment that made our guests feel special. The ability to view this section of the track with shade, seating and food allows our VIP guests to enjoy the action while providing their input as to the new direction of the association. Hopefully, this environment will help drive the membership decision.”
