F1 Boston 2013 Winter Leagues Registration Opens

Provide a Racing Opportunities for All Ages & Skill Levels


Just in time to drive away ‘Cabin Fever’, F1 Boston’s Winter League is lined up to begin in January – registration is now open. The winter race season features three Adults leagues, an eight-class Junior league as well as the brand new Senior Championship League, providing racing opportunities for drivers of all ages and skill levels. Registration forms can be found at the F1 Boston website’s registration page. All leagues run in F1 Boston’s state-of-the-art, 106,000 square foot facility that features two indoor European-style kart tracks.



Adult Leagues

The Adult program offers three league formats: Pro, Sprint and Open. The Pro League is designed for drivers who are looking to race in a tight and seriously competitive environment. It features a six-round format, each includes a qualifying heat preceding three races. The Sprint League is ideal for drivers looking for to raise their level of experience in a competitive environment. It also is six rounds, each comprised of four 30-lap races with the driver’s three best results counting in the standings. Both leagues have lightweight and heavyweight classes; the top eight racers from each class advance to the Final Championship Event, the format includes one drop, as the scoring is based on five of the six rounds.



The Open Racing Series is a pay per round format that offers 100 laps of racing for $70 per round. It is designed for enthusiasts interested in experience kart racing in a competitive atmosphere. Each of the 6 rounds includes a 10-lap practice followed by three 30-lap races.

The Senior Champions League is open to drivers over the age of 65 and is designed for the veteran driver looking to race in a competitive environment with drivers of similar ability. The season includes three rounds; each round offers a practice session and three 20-lap races. Racers can participate as many or as few rounds as they wish.



Junior Racing

The 11-round Junior League features 8 classes providing racers with the highest level of competition their age, size, ability and experience permits. Junior League racers may enter as many rounds as desired – drivers competing for the season championships must attend at least 8 rounds – the best 8 rounds for each count towards the final championship positions. The top 6 drivers from each class will earn a spot in the Season Finale. The League is open to all drivers with F1 Boston Junior Competition License that have completed an F1 Boston Junior Novice Racing Academy or Camp.
