2010 Volta Grand Prix Spring Series Champions Crowned
June 5, 2010 - The inaugural Volta Grand Prix Spring Series concluded at the indoor Allsports Grand Prix kart track in Sterling, Virginia.
The best 15 results of each driver were tabulated from the 18 possible races to determine the champions in each of four weight class (GT1 to GT4). Congratulations to these drivers:
Michael Wu (GT1)
Tony Ward (GT2)
Linwood Mishler (GT3)
Graham Fuller (GT4)
The first half of the 2010 season saw more than 30 drivers competing in the series, which visits three very different race tracks in the greater metropolitan Washington DC area. Complete schedules, results and lap times for all events are available at www.VoltaGP.com.
The next event takes place on June 27th at American Indoor Karting in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This will kick off the Fall Series and the second half of the overall 2010 Volta Grand Prix championship which consists of 14 events and runs until October 16th.
