Sarah Fisher to open indoor karting track in Speedway, IN |

IndyCar team owner Sarah Fisher plans to open 60,000 square foot indoor karting track in Speedway.
The 14-turn road course, named Speedway Indoor Karting, will be built on Main Street. The track will include multiple elevation changes and a banked oval that will be sunk into the floor.
It it scheduled to open in April 2016 to coordinate with the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500, Fisher said Thursday.
The project is owned by Fisher and her husband, Andy O'Gara. It is expected to bring 35 to 40 new jobs to Speedway, the company said. The company did not say how much the project would cost.
The facility will include a restaurant called 1911 Grill, with family dining, bar and entertainment areas. |
