 
Pit Road Bar & Grill, a family-owned restaurant located inside Victory Lane Indoor Karting 2330 Tipton Drive Charlotte, NC known worldwide for its 15 years of providing families, corporate groups and league racers an authentic and affordable racing experience, will be featured in an upcoming segment of the Food Network's popular TV series "Diner's Drive-Ins and Dives", which will be aired locally on Friday, May 1, 2015.
Pit Road Bar & Grill was selected from a national pool of celebrated eateries to star in an episode entitled "Driving through Charlotte," which will be shown live inside the facility at 10pm. The celebration will begin at our 11am opening and continue through closing at midnight with several specials served throughout the day. The Food Network's production crew, NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer and host Guy Fieri filmed the segment on location on March 6-10.
"This is such an incredible honor for our entire family since we just opened the restaurant inside our racing facility one year ago, we are thrilled to have our story broadcasted to the rest of the country," Managing Partner, Clay Robinson said. "We want to share with our longtime racing customers, which is why we are celebrating this event in a big way locally. We were overwhelmed and a bit apprehensive initially but from the moment we began working with the professional and genuinely nice show staff it was smooth sailing. Clay said he has always been a die-hard fan of the show and loves how the show highlights unique, independent operations that reflect the passion of owner/operators.
Pit Road Bar & Grill itself pulls from Chef Donnie Simmons flavorful recipes and his Charlotte roots to feature many classics like his unique Moon Pie Sliders, The Concord and The Hot Lap.
