Octane Raceway Scottsdale, AZ Celebrates 11th Anniversary |
|

The standard bearer for active entertainment in the Valley, Octane Raceway is celebrating their 11th anniversary of offering Phoenicians adrenaline-filled fun. The kart racing and event venue is commemorating the achievement with a ‘Lucky 11’ weekend featuring discounted racing, food
and drink specials, and prizes for guests, with a grand prize of free kart racing for a full year. This celebration also marks the first anniversary of their upscale location in Scottsdale in the Pavilions at Talking Stick.
Events will take place at Octane Raceway Friday, October 3 through Sunday, October 5 beginning at 11am each day. “The Lucky 11 celebration is all about our guests,” says Scott Sanders, president of Octane Raceway. “Every day our goal is to give our guests an amazing experience that puts a smile on their face. For the past 11 years, their enjoyment has been, and will continue to be, our number one priority. This celebration is one small way we are able to say ‘thank you’ to our guests for their continued support.”
Sanders opened the multifaceted kart racing facility on October 3, 2003 in Phoenix. An avid auto racing fan, Sanders was introduced to the concept of “racing inside a building” through business travels many years ago. While he was intrigued by the concept he saw, his vision was to build an interactive environment where guests could create memorable experiences. The original Phoenix location was the largest indoor kart racing and entertainment venue in the United States. It offered many of the active entertainment options that are available today including kart racing, an authentic NASCAR pit crew challenge, a Segway course, rock wall climbing, billiards and an arcade. The facility also featured multiple meeting and event spaces and a full service
restaurant.
In 2013, Octane Raceway added to their guest offering as they moved to their current Pavilions location. All of the events and amenities that were offered at the previous location are available in the Scottsdale venue, with new concepts like the 5,000 square foot Brickyard outdoor patio, upgraded audiovisual capabilities for meeting spaces and a revolutionary indoor and outdoor racetrack, which is the only permanent track of its kind in theUnited States.
Over the past year, the Scottsdale location has welcomed almost 200,000 racers who have driven Octane’s fleet of race karts more than 700,000 miles. One hotshot racer earned the title of fastest 1/3-mile lap, at 26.9 seconds. Since Octane Raceway opened in 2003, racers have navigated through almost six million miles of racing, they have hosted just over 11,000 events and entertained 300,000 corporate guests.
‘Lucky 11’ commemorates all of these accomplishments and is selecting prize winners every hour the racing venue is open from Friday, October 3 through Sunday, October 5. One lucky racer will receive free racing for a year, another a $100 gift card. Many others can win t-shirts, $11 Octane gift cards, and other Octane items.
Throughout the Lucky 11 celebration weekend, all kart racing is open to the public and priced at $11 per race, normally $19.95. Reservations are strongly encouraged at OctaneRaceway.com/ClubSpeed. Octane t-shirts are $11 for the event. The Trackside Bar & Grill will also have deals for the celebration including fountain sodas for $0.11 and the Trackside Sampler platter for $11.
