Kart Industry Council Launches New Website as Part of the Associations Extreme Makeover
Facility NewsLas Vegas, Nevada September 1, 2010 As part of the re-launch of the non-profit trade association for the
performance karting industry, the new KIC website will become an important resource that addresses a different point of
view for business members of the karting community.
The new website has a split personality with its public side as an industry news portal and information resource about
the council. The other side of the site is the private Members Only section which gives members access to the growing
library of resources through unique assigned user names and passwords.
The association staff will be developing on-demand streaming interactive educational sessions and for people who want
to experience the type of tools being used, visitors to the site can click on the cover of the new membership kit shown
on most pages to launch the session. Adjusting your speakers allows you to watch and listen to the presentation
automatically in sequence or you may choose to skip to any of the slides by clicking on the links. Members will have
access to a selection of expert sessions that use this technology. Audio podcasts will also be available for download.
KIC members will have access to published reports, studies and white papers. The first paper is an in-depth report
titled Understanding The Advantages Of Dealing In Foreign Currency For Potential Increased Margins With Product
Imports. This ten page report takes a detailed look at how importers can build their skills in working with offshore accounts.
The KIC staff will be reaching out to unconventional resources to find important articles and topics that relate to the
business side of karting. When possible we will supplement the stories with additional interview material that adds
relevance specifically for the KIC community.
According to Peter Rosati, KIC president, Over the years the full scope of the performance karting industry has gone
through many changes. Manufacturers, distributors, retailers and racers have sought out information about their livelihood
and sport through various sources. Many of them having conflicting agendas and financial interests. The KIC is here for
the karting businessman and the racer to provide unbiased industry information, education and guidance with one
goal --grow the sport and provide the information necessary to support and grow your business. Peter added, Our
investment in a new interactive website is just part of the association s new effort to address this need for information and
I look forward to speaking with industry members to make sure our content is relevant and of value.
Another unique feature of the site is the active databases developed for both visitors and members. The track table will
be a constantly updated resource by the KIC staff that includes the expanded karting community of outdoor, indoor, dirt
tracks and drag strips. A similar data table in the Members Only area has more than 900 industry vendors available for
members to resource suppliers as well as companies seeking to expand their dealer networks.

As part of the new level of communication from the association, besides the daily updated site, visitors can follow along
on the KIC Twitter account KartIndCouncil and individuals who sign up for the regular digital newsletters will have
important news briefs delivered directly to their in box.
