 Pole Position Raceway and P2R Karting, Inc. are proud to announce that an all-new state-of-the-art high-performance indoor kart track is coming to Houston.
The new entertainment facility is expected to open in late Spring and will be Pole Position Raceway’s second location in Texas. The world-class facility is an independently operated franchise created by Michael Barron, President of Houston Karting & Entertainment, LLC. Barron, a veteran police officer and experienced pilot. Barron has developed a number of successful businesses in the Houston/Galveston area and brings a wealth of experience to the business from both a marketing, as well as a promotional perspective.
“We are excited to bring this unique and exciting indoor racing venue to Houston and the Clear Lake area,” said Barron. “This is my home town, and it will be an incredible place for family entertainment, birthday parties, and corporate events.”
Joining Barron are three highly professional individuals, all tops in their respective fields. Local REMAX agent Sharon Rowsey will serve as Vice-President of Sales & Marketing. With over 20 years of sales and marketing experience, Rowsey has already begun accepting applications for corporate sponsors.
Barron and Rowsey are joined by Drew Neubauer and Willy T. Ribbs both executives with Winners Circle LLC, a motorsports management firm located in Austin, Texas. Mr. Neubauer has over 25 years experience in the karting and motorsports industry. With a collegiate baseball career and both professional karting and motorcycle experience, Drew has a competitive spirit and passion for excellence and has a proven track record for success in highly competitive markets. His marketing and strategic development experience comes from holding executive positions with ESPN, Salem Communications, Faulding Capital, and Rush Enterprises.
Willy T. Ribbs is a true American sports legend, who has just been inducted into the San Jose California Sports Hall of Fame this past year. He has spent his entire professional life in the business of professional auto racing. Willy has achieved many firsts in his career and still remains the most-winning African American driver in history. A few highlights include:

Indoor kart racing is quickly becoming one of the fastest-growing forms of recreation in the United States and the Houston facility will be Pole Position Raceway’s 10th location, with several more planned in the next 12 months. In addition to side-by-side race action on a giant ¼ mile track, each location also features authentic racing memorabilia, video games, concessions, party room, V.I.P. room, and more.
