“A SON NEVER FORGETS FOUNDATION” TO BE HELD DECEMBER 19

Jersey City, NJ -- Dec. 5, 2011 -- More NFL players have joined the roster of participants for New York Jets starting linebacker, Bart Scott’s Can’t Wait ™ Grand Prix charity race fundraiser at Pole Position Raceway in Jersey City, New Jersey.

The special charity event will be held on Monday, Dec. 19 and will bring together NFL players to compete against one another in head-to-head kart racing, as well as lucky fans for a great cause. Among the players scheduled to join Scott are Mark Sanchez, Eric Smith Santonio Holes, Jamal Westerman, David harris, Antonio Cromartie, Dustin Keller, Shonn Greene, Joe McKnight, Calvin Pace, Marquice Cole, Marcus Dixon and and Kyle Wilson.

The event’s special guest of honor will be former Rutgers defensive tackle Eric LeGrand who suffered a severe spinal injury in 2010 during a game against Army. This past summer, fans and mainstream media alike discovered the connection between Scott and LeGrand by way of Twitter. Scott‘s Can’t WaitÔ campaign supports LeGrand’s goal to walk again in the very near future. Funds raised will go to “A Son Never Forgets Foundation” founded by Scott in 2006 which is dedicated to educating and encouraging those suffering from spinal cord injuries by providing valuable information and resources during rehabilitation.

The charity race and fundraising event will take place on Monday, December 19 from 6-11:00 PM. Tickets are available for spectators at $50 and $150 per person and will include food, drinks, music, and a “Meet & Greet” with NFL players.
