Octane Raceway Phoenix, AZ Offers Raceology 101 For New Drivers

Raceology 101 is a fun-filled two hour mandatory course for all 8 and 9 year olds to operate a junior kart at Octane Raceway (formerly F1 Race Factory). Class is also available for juniors ages 10-15 years old who want to learn the basics of kart racing.

Each session is limited to 8 students to ensure personalized attention and plenty of track time. The focus of the course is to provide an entry level experience into the world of indoor kart racing with and emphasis on safety and sportsmanship.

COURSE TOPICS:

Flags and what they mean
Kart operation and control
Hand placement on the steering wheel
Proper use of gas and break pedals
How to improve your times while being smooth
Instruction time 40%/ Track 60%

COST AND SCHEDULE

$49 .95 per student (plus tax) per session. Includes lunch, annual membership, and Octane Raceway t-shirt. Held on the first and third Saturday of the month 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by lunch with the instructor. Available dates listed on this page.

A minimum of 4 pre-registered students with a 50% deposit prior is required for each class session to be held. Minor waivers must be signed by a parent or legal guardian and submitted prior to class. **NOVEMBER 12 CLASS IS SOLD OUT**
