“CAKE BOSS” BUDDY VALASTRO BRINGS HIS MASTERY TO POLE POSITION RACEWAY IN JERSEY CITY IN A NEW EPISODE OF TLC’S POPULAR SERIES

“Moving Cake, Marbles, and Mess Ups” Airs July 11 on TLC


Jersey City, NJ-- July 5, 2011 -- Renown cake artist and master baker Buddy Valastro, brings his mastery to the track at Pole Position Raceway in Jersey City during the new season of TLC’s popular series “Cake Boss.”


In an episode scheduled to air Monday, July 11 at 9:30 PM (ET), Buddy attempts to create his most ambitious cake he’s ever done when a championship go-kart racer asks him to build an old fashioned go-kart cake for a family reunion. Creating the cake comes easy. Getting it to drive is another matter. Meanwhile, Buddy also makes a special cake for a family friend turning 101.

The 80,000 square foot facility features two quarter-mile tracks and the latest in high-performance, all-electric, emission-free indoor karts capable of reaching speeds of 45 MPH. The facility also features an impressive display of authentic racing memorabilia, meeting and party rooms, video and arcade games, and more.


Master baker of Carlo’s City Hall Bake Shop in Hoboken, New Jersey, Buddy Valastro is the ‘cake boss” and one of the most successful cake artists in the United States. TLC’s popular series chronicles Buddy’s over-arching desire to achieve his late father’s dream of making Carlo’s Bake Shop a household name. Buddy supervises a team that includes his mother, four older sisters and three brothers-in-law. Working with family on a daily basis brings a lot of drama and family love.
