Racers Against Texting While Driving
Facility NewsMy good friend Kevin Gilmore and I have come together for one simple reason and that is to bring awareness to the fatal reality of texting while driving. We recently lost a beloved family member due to this terrible distraction and all we want is no one else to have to endure the painful reality of losing any family member and or friend due to this preventable distraction.

As a kart racer myself and Kevin coming from a long line of dirt track racers we both share the passion for racing. Give us a wagon and we will find a way to race it… yep it’s that bad. Over the years this is how we have made countless friends within many types of racing. This is why we feel it is so important to make a big deal about this growing problem. We want to put a stop to this terrible distraction. It would be a shame to lose any one of our good friends’ let alone any family member.

We are confident that anyone who is a racer or a fan understands the fact that you simply can not be distracted by anything while you are behind the wheel of a race car or your daily driver.

This is why we have chosen to build a 2-seat street legal sprint car. As racers ourselves we feel this is the appropriate machine to help us with our campaign. We will be able to give rides in the sprint car and this will help drive home the message that we are making. It will also take tremendous focus to drive this awesome machine and… we will not be texting while driving. There will also be the specially selected people that will be allowed to drive this awesome street car.
